Description
BAE OGi cells are suitable for stationary batteries where high operational reliability, long service life, high discharge currents for short discharge durations, and capacitive discharges over longer periods are required.
Typical applications include standby power systems in power plants, substations, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and emergency lighting systems in accordance with VDE 0108 and VDE 0107.
The grid plate design used ensures a long service life and excellent high-current performance due to the high lead content and the circular shape of the grid bars. Smooth-walled containers and vertically arranged plates provide high energy density with minimal footprint. The transparent containers allow all-round visual inspection and thereby facilitate maintenance.
Round grid plate made of low-antimony alloy (1.6%) with high lead content and circular grid bars
Negative electrode
Grid plate with long-life expander in low-antimony alloy
Separation
High-quality microporous separator
Electrolyte
Sulphuric acid with a density of 1.24 kg/l
Container
Transparent, halogen-free SAN with high mechanical strength, smooth-walled
Lid
Grey-coloured, halogen-free SAN
Terminal bushing
100% electrolyte-tight, sliding, plastic-coated heavy-duty terminal
Terminal design
Copper inserts with M10 thread
Plugs
Labyrinth plugs for aerosol retention; optionally ceramic plugs or ceramic funnel plugs in accordance with DIN 40 740
Connectors
Insulated copper busbars with cross-sections of 90, 150 or 300 mm², or
flexible insulated copper cables with cross-sections of 35, 50, 70, 95 or 120 mm²
