Description

BAE OGi block batteries are robust lead-acid batteries optimised for high discharge performance and are particularly suitable for bridging times ranging from a few minutes up to one hour.

They are used for uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), as starter batteries for emergency diesel generator sets, and for standby power supply in data and signalling systems for transport infrastructure, switchgear installations of utility companies, and other applications.

Construction

Positive electrode
Round grid plate with circular grid bars made of corrosion-resistant PbSb1.6SnSe alloy

Negative electrode
Grid plate in low-antimony alloy with long-life expander

Separation
Microporous separator

Electrolyte
Sulphuric acid with a density of 1.24 kg/l

Container
Transparent SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile), impact-resistant

Lid
SAN, grey-coloured

Blocks with blind cells
4 V, 6 V, 8 V, 10 V

Plugs
Labyrinth plugs for aerosol retention; optionally ceramic plugs or ceramic funnel plugs in accordance with DIN 40 740

Terminal bushing
100% gas- and electrolyte-tight, sliding, plastic-overmolded tank pole

Terminal design
M10 brass insert

Connectors
Insulated copper busbars with cross-sections of 90, 150 or 300 mm², or
flexible insulated copper cables with cross-sections of 35, 50, 70, 95 or 120 mm²

Protection class
IP25 according to DIN 40 050, protection against accidental contact in accordance with VBG 4

Charging
