BAE SECURA PVV solar batteries are designed for indoor applications.
For outdoor use, consultation with BAE is recommended.
Maintenance
- Every 6 months: Check battery and cell voltages
- Every 12 months: Check connections and record battery and cell voltages as well as temperature
Operating Characteristics
Depth of discharge (DOD)
Max. 80%
- Uâ‚‘ = 1.91 V/cell for discharge times > 10 h
- Uâ‚‘ = 1.74 V/cell for 1 h
Deep discharges beyond 80% DOD should be avoided
Charging current
Unlimited; the minimum charging current should be I10
Charging voltage (cyclic operation)
2.30 V to 2.40 V per cell (observe operating instructions)
Float charge voltage (standby operation)
2.25 V per cell
Temperature compensation of charging voltage
No adjustment required if the monthly average battery temperature is between 10 °C and 45 °C
Otherwise: ΔU/ΔT = −0.003 V/cell per K
Full charge
100% within a period of 1 to 4 weeks
IEC 61427 cycle life
